Gemtek and Kim Kong Electrical successfully partnered together to deliver on a major electric vehicle charging infrastructure project for a residential complex located in Inner West Sydney
The scope of this project included the installation of an Electric Vehicle Charger Load Management and Power Metering System. As part of this exciting project, we integrated a Dynamic Load Management System (DLMS) to ensure the future-readiness of approximately 90 units at this complex – a forward-looking approach in line with Australia’s evolving EV landscape.
The DLMS included over 250 metres of fibre-optic cables which connect the network switches, ensuring seamless connectivity between the complex’s three parking zones.
The use of Socomec’s Diris Digiware range for mains and zone circuits was instrumental in facilitating dynamic load management to ensure power is evenly distributed. This compact system is an optimal suit for retrofit applications into existing switchboards. Using a combination of Rogowski and Split Core Current Transformers, this system reduced downtime and installation footprint while limiting power interruption to the site.
